The Cinterandes Foundation was founded in 1990, it started with a program to operate the most needed people from the country. In 1994 we started with a surgical program called MOBILE SURGERY: an operating room built in a van. After eighteen and half years of work, by December 2012, 7.003 surgical operations have been performed in the countryside and suburbs, with excellent results, a very low complication rate and, most importantly, in a more humane way within the patient’s own environment.
To carry out programs to enhance human capabilities and satisfy basic human needs. We believe these programs should cover: health, education, food production and nutrition, housing, work and productivity, communication and recreation.
The Cinterandes Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote human development. We understand human development as the liberation of human potential leading to mankind's progress, well-being and improvement in the quality of life of the individual and the community, with liberty and in harmony with the environment.
