On May 25th, 2023, The CINTERANDES mobile surgical unit, made it´s last journey, since after 30 years of service in the rural communities of Ecuador, it should now be replaced. This unit has traveled to 18 of the 24 provinces of our country, there, almost 9,000 surgeries have been performed  in remote places, to people who otherwise, would not have access to these health services.

This mobile operating room, the first in the world, has traveled approximately 230 thousand kilometers, which represents 9 laps around the world in the equatorial zone.

This project will be possible thanks to the donations of philanthropists, people from USA, Ecuador and other countries who know about the importance of the work CINTERANDES has been doing for the last 30 years, in rural communities, to help those in need.
