On April 14, 2023, in Washington DC, we made a presentation about CINTERANDES, at the Consortium of Universities in Global Health, 14th Annual Global Health Conference. We talked about the impact of COVID -19 on our surgical missions and how this affected us, what we stopped doing during that time and the loss  this represented in therms of medical attention to those most in need in Ecuador, education for medical students and residents, and education for the communities.
